What is a group leaderboard?
Onlia Sense users can create group leaderboards, and invite friends and family to join. You’ll all be part of a private group that only members can view. You’ll have the same score that you do on the general leaderboard, but you’ll only be ranked amongst other members on your group leaderboard — time to see who’s really the best driver! How do group leaderboards work?
One person creates the group, and they can customize the competition by adding a witty group name and colour. The next step is inviting others to join the fun by sharing the invitation link.
Recipients should follow the link and complete their profile in order to join the group leaderboard. You can choose a name and display picture to represent yourself; group members can exit a group at any time, and group owners have the ability to remove members as well. You can create and join up to five group leaderboards.
To get started:
1. Select the Leaderboard tab in the app
2. Create a new group
3. Complete your profile
4. Choose a group name and colour
5. Invite friends and family to join
Your position on the leaderboard is determined by our point system, which takes into account drivescores, badge points, and bonus points for undistracted trips. Here’s the exact formula we use to calculate your points:
Total points = Drivescore x 100 + Badge points + Undistracted trip bonuses (which is 10% of the trip score to a maximum of 50 trips a month)
Pro tip: Be sure to answer our Trivia Tuesday question for bonus points each week.
The leaderboard is refreshed every 2 hours, so you’ll be able to see your progress in real-time. Whether you’ve earned points from a higher drivescore or bonus points for being undistracted, you’ll see the payoff instantaneously.
