Another Day, Another Update: New Leaderboard & Tiered Badges

Just like Onlia Sense™ drivers are always working to level up their safe driving skills, we’re constantly working to make our app better. This month, we’ve released a major update that makes driving safe even more rewarding than it was before.
More challenges, some friendly competition, and bragging rights – we think you’ll love what you’ve added to the Onlia Sense experience.
What’s new?
We have a leaderboard!
We’ve added an in-app leaderboard to show the monthly ranking of Onlia Sense drivers! With the brand-new leaderboard, you’ll be able to see where you rank among other Onlia Sense drivers.
Positions on the leaderboard are determined by a unique point system, that takes into account drivescores, badge points (we’ll get to that), and bonus points for undistracted trips. Here’s the specific formula that we’ll use to calculate your points:
Total points = Drivescore x 100 + Badge points + Undistracted trip bonuses (which is 10% of the trip score to a maximum of 50 trips a month)
The leaderboard is updated every 2 minutes, so you’ll be able to see your progress as soon as you earn more points, or earn a high trip score! Final results will be announced at the end of the month, and the leaderboard will be reset for the month ahead.
You’ll be able to choose your name that shows up on the leaderboard – it can be your real name or a nickname, as well as an avatar. Other drivers will be able to see your position on the board, so be sure to put your best face forward! Invite your friends to download Onlia Sense to see who’s really the best driver in the group; you can keep up to date on your positions on the leaderboard, and even share badges with each other as you earn them. The way we see it, there’s nothing wrong with a little friendly competition – especially if it’s making our roads safer!

Badges are now tiered
Drivers can now level up through bronze, silver, and gold levels of each badge. With each new level you reach, you’ll be rewarded with more points that’ll help you climb your way to the top of the leaderboard. While you’ll be able to gain more points with each level that you reach, the driving challenges so get increasingly difficult as you progress – which means only the best of the best will get gold! It may take a little more work to level up through the tiers, but think of the payoff; you’ll get to see yourself rise through the ranks, and earn the bragging rights to go with your top-tier position.
If you’re a regular user, then you know that special edition badges pop up every now and then – and you’ll be glad to know that they’ll come with points, too. We’ll be introducing more ways to earn points to get ahead, so stay tuned for our next big update!
