Do you consider yourself a safe driver? Most Canadians do. But our views seem to be a far cry from the reality of driving in Canada.

In a recently-released study hosted on the Angus Reid Forum entitled the Onlia Safety Index, a survey of Canadian drivers revealed that the vast majority believe themselves to be excellent drivers – yet unsafe behaviours prevail on our roads. In fact, according to the latest statistics available from Transport Canada, in 2017 there were 1,841 fatalities and 9,960 serious injuries due to collisions.
